This is the bottom lamp holder for the high output fluorescent tube that lights the front sign on a Royal cold drink machine. The tube seats in this socket after it is pushed into the spring loaded top socket, and the socket carries power from the ballast to the lamp.
Replace it when the sign will not light or flickers with a known good tube and ballast, or when the socket is cracked, loose or shows burn marks.
Fits: Royal 660. DS Vending lists it for Royal and Dixie Narco high output lamps. Match the part number to be sure.
Part numbers: OEM 842002. Also listed as 842002 (DS Vending).
