The coin return button assembly on National 147 and 148 machines. When the customer presses it, it trips the coin mechanism return lever so inserted coins drop to the coin return. A working coin return matters: customers who cannot get their coins back tend to stop using the machine.
Replace it when the button is stuck, broken or pushes in without returning coins.
