This is the defrost control kit for the Dixie Narco BevMax 4. It controls the defrost cycle that shuts down cooling at intervals so ice melts off the evaporator coil.
Replace it when the evaporator ices over, airflow drops, and the cabinet warms up even though the compressor is running. Rule out a failed evaporator fan motor first, since a stopped fan also causes the coil to ice over. Then check the defrost control.
